In what can only be seen as a natural progression to rock bottom for an organization which claims to be the “most trusted name in news” but has carried itself in no such manner, CNN has fallen to number 13 in cable TV rankings, well behind its competitors Fox and MSNBC.

According to the latest numbers from TV Newser, CNN’s audience size of 711,000 viewers on an average day between June 26 and July 2 leaves it drowning in spot 13, right behind Investigation Discovery and ESPN.

Within the same time period, Fox News and MSNBC are listed as first and second with Fox drawing an audience of around 1.82 million while MSNBC drew an audience of 1.34 million.

Fox News has maintained the top spot over the past five TV Newser rankings, according to an analysis done by The Daily Caller. MSNBC has bounced between the second and third position while CNN has steadily fallen from sixth to thirteenth over the past month.

CNN’s fall in the ranks comes after a rough week for the network which forced three of its reporters to resign over a retracted article that alleged Trump associate Anthony Scaramucci was under investigation by the Senate Intelligence Committee for Russian business ties. The network was also hit by a Project Veritas sting which revealed a CNN producer admitting that the network’s coverage of the Trump-Russia narrative has been “mostly bullsh*t” and another video captured Van Jones admitting the Russia hoax is just “a big nothing burger.”

CNN is also currently being hit hard by the internet world after it was accused of blackmailing the creator of the infamous Trump-CNN wrestling meme by threatening to reveal his identity.

“The most trusted name in news” was accused by many, including Julian Assange and Ted Cruz, of breaking state law when it threatened to dox the supposed meme creator.

While the TV Newsers rankings provide no insight into exactly why CNN has been sliding for the past six months, it can undoubtedly be attributed to the terrible mistakes and blatant bias of the network, who has shamelessly admitted to being bias in the pass.

News media is a market which is driven by truth and when you stray from the truth you become an imposter that is bound to be discredited.
